Glavotok

Glavotok is a small village located on the westernmost part of the island, and was formed near the Franciscan monastery built in the 15th century. There lived mainly monks who opened the first printing press house on the island in 19th century.

Today Glavotok is destination for many visitors thanks to its cultural and historical heritage, but also because of natural beauty, such as protected forests, rocky and pebbled beaches surrounded by lush vegetation. Near the monastery there is a campsite located along the coast, but tourists can also stay in apartments and rooms in private houses.

In Glavotok also operates a diving center within which there is a marine - biological center that offers many programs for children, adults and groups.

Glavotok, although a little place actually offers a lot and it is worth visiting.

Glavotok kamp

Very beautiful bay on the left side of the camp and beautiful bays and beaches within the camp. The campsite has about 500 meters of coastline with three pebble beaches. The first, larger beach (Lokva) is located below the reception desk next to the entrance to the campsite; another, smaller one, is located in the middle of the campground near restaurants and supermarkets (there are showers). At the end of the camp is the third and quietest beach (St. Peter). The rest of the camp coast consists of rocks with small sandy bays. There is also a protected oak forest nearby, as well as a marine biology station.
