Silo is a coastal village located on the northeastern coast of the island, where live 370 inhabitants. This place is younger than the others on the island, and the meaning gets in 1905th by opening the first regular steamship line Silo - Vrbnik - Crikvenica, which was the only connection of island with the mainland, in that time.

Today there is no longer the lines because of the Krk bridge, but still has sea connection with Crikvenica, by speedboat. Silo does not have hotels, but has a large selection of apartments and rooms in private accommodation as well as pensions and camping. During the summer there is very lively, and to tourist offer contributes beautiful beaches with many sports and recreational facilities such as beach volleyball, tennis, bowling, then promenade overlooking the Novi Vinodolski, Selce and the Crikvenica Riviera. Silo is known for its Fisherman’s fest which is held in July, it is dedicated to fish and fishing, and attracts many tourists.
